| Collaborative Agreement 2080 Rule |
|
The Minnesota Academy of PAs recognizes that navigating rules and regulations regarding our profession can be challenging. We want to help Minnesota PAs navigate the latest change to our collaborative agreements and the development of
the 2080.
From the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice: "A physician assistant who qualifies for licensure must practice at least 2,080 hours, within the context of a collaborative agreement, within a hospital or integrated clinical setting where physician assistants and physicians work together to provide patient care." With this, it adds an additional layer for PAs to pay attention too. When you meet this 2,080 hour requirement you must submit a form to the medical board attesting that this has been completed. We've created a walk through to help you complete this process and ensure you remain in compliance with your licensure. This can be completed in THREE easy steps. 1. Download this form. 2. Submit the form to the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice at medical.board@state.mn.us You can easily check if your form has been accepted by navigating here and entering your name and looking at the collaborative agreement section. |
