Covid-19 vs Allergies

 

With the improved weather comes the arrival of environmental allergies. In normal circumstances seasonal influenza would be all but out of the picture. Of course, these are not normal circumstances. Concerns have been raised about how to tell the difference. Here are some comparisons:

 

 

 Coronavirus Allergies 
  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Chills
  • Repeated shaking with chills
  • Muscle pain
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Symptoms appear 2-14 days after exposure
 
  • Sneezing
  • Itchy noes, eyes or roof of the mouth
  • Runny, stuffy nose
  • Watery, red or swollen eyes
  • Scratchy throat
  • Throat clearing
  • Cough from postnasal drip
