AAPA is in need of your example(s) of how current Medicare restrictions impede patient care/restrict access to care. Examples of restrictions include:
- Ordering and certifying terminal illness for hospice purposes
- Ordering home health care
- Performing initial and consecutive visits for skilled nurse facilities
- Physician co-signature requirements
- Ordering medical nutritional therapy, or
- Ordering and certifying needs for diabetic shoes
