The Primary Care Coalition is comprised of leadership from seven statewide organizations including the Minnesota chapters of the Academy of Physician Assistants, the Academy of Family Physicians, the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Coalition, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Physicians, the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners, the Osteopathic Medical Society, and the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Collectively, the coalition represents over 9000 Minnesota primary care providers. These organizations are seeking opportunities to improve care for the patients in conjunction with support of the IHI Triple Aim.
A formal letter of request from the primary care providers for adjustment in Minnesota Community Measures was drafted and sent to Commissioner Edward Ehlinger, MN of the Minnesota Department of Health.
