Overview

The PA Night Outs are education & networking events taking place in various Minnesota cities. The events bring together Minnesota practicing PAs in a casual setting.

The Promise of Multi-Cancer Early Detection

Presented by Dr. Laurie Birkholz, MD, NCMP, Family Medicine Physician, Holland, MI.

 

Dr. Birkholz is a board-certified family medicine physician and fellowship trained women’s health expert. She completed her medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin followed by residency and fellowship at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee and the Aurora Women’s Pavilion in West Allis, WI. She has been in practice since 2006 and in July of 2020 founded Laurie Birkholz, MD & Associates, a Ms.Medicine concierge primary care practice providing comprehensive, gender specific primary care and office gynecology.

 

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the unmet need in cancer screening.
  • Learn the science and evidence behind multi-cancer early detection (MCED) and the Galleri® test.
  • Learn how the Galleri test can be implemented in clinical practice.
  • Hear about the impact of Galleri through real-world case studies.

Registration

Registration is free and open for practicing PAs & students. Advanced registration is required, with a maximum of 25 attendees.

 

MAPA membership is not required to attend. Food and drinks are served.

 

Accreditation

This activity is developed for 1 AAPA Category 2 CME credit. NCCPA accepts Category 2 credit for any educational activity that relates to medicine, patient care, or the role of the PA that has not been designated for Category 1 credit.
