The presentation will review advanced interventional pain techniques beyond the typical corticosteroid injection. We will also discuss medical necessity behind each technique and highlight published evidence when appropriate.

Objectives:

1. Understand the different radiofrequency ablation techniques use for chronic spinal and knee pain along with medical indications
   
2. Understand the variety of implantable devices used for chronic pain along with medication indications
   
3. Understand the most recent interventional pain treatment advances such as basivertebral nerve ablation, high-frequency SCS, closed-loop stimulation, and interspinous spacers and their medical indications
