Overview
The new 2022 Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines directly impact how PAs can practice and be reimbursed.
NGS (National Government Services) is the Medicare carrier for Minnesota. NGS representatives, Carleen Parker and Catherine K. Delli Carpini, RN, BSN, CPC, will present the recent
changes to Medicare guidelines, as well as some commonly misunderstood Medicare aspects. Join us to learn about the E/M refinements to current policies that CMS has made for 2022. This webinar will include split/shared visits involving a physician and nonphysician practitioner, critical care services in the post-op period that are unrelated to the surgery, services furnished by teaching physicians involving residents, and updates to telehealth. You will learn why policies were refined, how to apply the new modifiers for E/M codes, and what should be documented to support them. This session will include a question and answer segment.
