MAPA and CDI are partnering to host our first ever Virtual PA/NP Night Out! This free, one-hour CME webinar will focus on Advanced Body and Neuro Imaging 101, presented by CDI’s subspecialized radiologists,
James H. Sullivan, MD, and Derik T. Weldon, MD on September 10, 2020 at 7:00 PM.
The event aims to give attendees a better understanding of advanced imaging and how it relates to the patients seen in the clinic. In addition, attendees will learn how advanced imaging can help you make better decisions for the next steps in facilitating
patient care and show through case studies how combining patient complaints with advanced imaging can help make the best decision for a future injection to help a patient’s pain/concern.
Objectives:
- Understand the scope of practice for a subspecialty outpatient body radiologist at CDI.
- Review case studies of radiology imaging findings in common primary care patient presentations.
- Develop an increased understanding of how to order proper imaging modality for common patient presentations.
- Review relevant anatomy and pathology in the neck and back as it relates to image-guided injections.
- Discuss specific types of injections as to indications/techniques/patient selection.
- Emphasize the need for a collaborative approach in treating pain.
